Acceleration
You know what this means. You can calculate the acceleration with this formula:
a = Dv / Dt
a = acceleration
Dv = change of velocity
Dt = change of time
Example: if we know that a car accelerates 0-27.7 m/s (100 km/h) in 5 seconds, we can calculate the acceleration:
a = Dv / Dt
a = 27.7 m/s / 5s
a Ë 5.6 m/s² , so we would write 5.6 as acceleration.
But here are some values again:
1.0 = Very slow. Even slower than a truck.
2.0 = Acceleration for trucks or buses.
3.0 = A pick-up.
3.5 = An average value.
6.0 = This is good if you want to have fun.
6.7 = A fast sports car. (Chevrolet Corvette)
